SMITHBITS - "More Appropriately" Progressive Insurance Agent Acts like Nazi Insurance Police

APACHE JUNCTION AZ [IFS] --  As a family member of mine was attempting to transfer their Progressive Insurance Policy to Arizona, the Progressive Agent requested this writer's information and if I were a policyholder and that I had an account with them.

Indirectly, Progressive forced me to sign up with them and is now-- according to their information -- going to sell my personal information to anyone that wants it.  "...This is just going to get ugly," vows Kenneth Howard Smith,  SmithBits Magazine Founder and once intern student,  Don Martin School of Broadcasting, co-host, and side-kick with the late great Captain Don Imus MSNBC, in the late days of 1960's radio at KUTY-AM - Palmdale California.

Smith's strange inquiry and the abusiveness of the agent would come to verbal fisticuffs and very dirty words.  "This agent crossed her source of questioning that the police would not ask a criminal.

"Her mouth can not cover her ass, with Smith adding, "...Never slap Me in the mouth because I will eat your lunch."   In high school, Smith's nickname was "Thumper" he later went from Vietnam to law school and fighting with pen and paper just makes his day.

Smith, a software engineer from 1997 to 1999 -- Paul Allen's "High-Speed Access" which became Charter, was one of the developers of the HTML code that "Pinged telephone nodes" creating one of the first VoIP - Voice Over Internet Protocol standards with 802.XX tunneling for the first time. Smith was AOL's first webmaster who would later go on to the old GTE/Verizon as its' webmaster.

Smith further added that Progressive Insurance Agent's scope of her job exceeds her ability.  The only satisfaction would be, the scene from the movie classic, "The Gambler From Natchez" Starring Dale Robertson, where dueling is a pleasant way to settle disputes.

It was as if, this writer was applying for a policy with this company, and by verbal force and intimidation. - KHS

As midterm elections ramp up, the barrage of texts, emails, and other forms of digital outreach has too. Companies that supply campaigns with mountains of personal data on potential voters are a unique facet of American elections, and campaigns and super PACs spend millions of dollars each cycle for intel on voters they hope to reach.

In 2020, federal campaigns, super PACs and special interest groups paid data brokers over $23 million to access veritable treasure troves of data on millions of Americans. As the 2022 midterm elections gear up, OpenSecrets has already tracked about $6 million in payments to brokers from federal candidates and super PACs.

Increased pressure on state and federal legislators to implement regulations to protect user data and restrict the sale of user information could pose a serious roadblock to political groups relying on data brokers to build their campaigns. Politicians and operatives from across the political spectrum rely on data provided by brokers to craft campaign strategies, a strong disincentive to regulate the tool that could give their campaign an edge in the near-constant race for reelection.

Defining “data brokers”

Several factors suggest the total price politicians and PACs pay third-party brokers for voter data is likely higher than the expenditures analyzed by OpenSecrets.

OpenSecrets used state registration records to compile a list of over 600 brokers then searched for matches in expenditure data drawn from Federal Election Commission filings. Vermont and California are the only two states that require these third-party data brokers to register with their respective secretaries of state, which means brokers operating outside those areas may be excluded from our analysis.

The total money cited only captures spending on “third-party” brokers, companies that collect, group and sell data on people — often without their consent.

The Vermont law defines a data broker as “a business, or unit or units of a business, separately or together, that knowingly collects and sells or licenses to third parties the brokered personal information of a consumer with whom the business does not have a direct relationship.”

Our methodology excluded powerhouses such as Meta, the rebranded parent company of Facebook, and Google that are not required to register in Vermont or California because they sell data from users signed up to access services. NGP Van, a private company that sells voter data to the Democratic Party, candidates, and nonprofits, also does not appear on the list, although it received more than $28 million from political groups during the 2020 election.

Leading the field

During the 2020 election cycle, 37 data brokers raked in at least $23 million. The chart below lays out the top 10 recipients of federal campaign expenditures.

What is usage-based insurance?

Usage-based insurance (UBI) helps align your auto policy's cost with your driving habits. While auto insurers have traditionally used factors such as your age, location, and motor vehicle report in determining your risk for an accident, usage-based insurance helps calculate your rate for auto insurance by analyzing how often and how safely you drive. Optional UBI programs are offered by many auto insurers and can be mutually beneficial — you may earn a rate reduction and your insurer uses the data to "more appropriately" price your policy. - Progressive Insurance

Customer satisfaction and complaints

Progressive has lower than average auto claims satisfaction scores, ranking particularly low at 862 out of 1,000, according to a J.D. Power survey. For context, the industry baseline for auto claims satisfaction clocks in at 880.

While these scores are low, Progressive customers are generally very satisfied with their digital experience, according to another J.D. Power survey. Progressive ranks second in this category among all large car insurers, just behind Geico, which has won two Webbys for its digital infrastructure (tough competition to beat!).

Here's the biggest thorn in Progressive's side: the number of complaints it receives nationally. According to the NAIC's complaint index, Progressive is indexed at 1.23, meaning that it receives more complaints than the industry average.

Kenneth Howard Smith - If I Had Secret Documents, I would. . .

APACHE JUNCTION AZ (IFS) --  Did Judge Aileen Cannon just write herself  out of the script?  And in a footnote?  Wow!  Never before in the history of the United States has a judge intervene in a criminal investigation and on the edge of becoming a defendant for obstruction of justice.

Trump Ruling Lifts Profile of Judge and Raises Legal Eyebrows

Judge Aileen M. Cannon has issued the first highly scrutinized ruling of her short judicial career, involving the person who put her on the bench: former President Donald J. Trump.

Comrade, Moscow Is not the only Things Burning, Tiffany Cross's Phoenix Moments Expanding - Egg on the faces of MSNBC?

APACHE JUNCTION AZ [IFS] -- MSNBC's disgraceful firing of Tiffany Cross, believe it or not, is typical corporate behavior.  The Federal Bureau of Investigations had an opportunity many years ago to analyze what makes Corporate America, tic?

First of all, the corporation model is a serial killer.

Only the employer has the right to terminate and remove one present and personal effects from their places of business.  On the other hand, you have to give them a two-week notice that you are quitting.

So on that note, this writer took a break from MSNBC for the past two weeks, as a viewer in the Tiffany Cross timeslots and gave my eyes a rest.  Upon, my return to the broadcasts this weekend, I started to hear a harder approach to the news events of the day.

I turned off the TV.  I waited another ten minutes and then turned MSNBC back on, and my ears were not deceiving me.  The whole atmosphere at MSNBC has taken a turn with harder questions, a more --not taking no crazy answers to everyone on camera.

Did Tiffany poison the well water at NBC Corporate with her firing on the bequest of Tucker Carlson?  Heck, yet.  We found out that MSNBC is a puppet of Fox News.  The big cry was from non-believers that Cross had such high numbers.  FACT: With your name being dropped from one of the hottest properties on pixels in the world, Cross's viewership bumped for several days after Carlson's lip services --to see who this person is.

Inquiring minds wanted to know who this person is, and why that so much oxygen from the Carlson Show?  For every minute taken up talking about Cross, it was an advertisement for MSNBC and Cross's numbers.  The bumps were massive. The raw data shows that at the end of Tiffany Cross's Show, she was pulling 16.6 Million views, just from the TV Show with Tucker Carlson.  Let's factor in coast-to-coast numbers, with one-minute segments.  These jolts of  Approximately sixteen minutes of airtime at $1.3 Million per minute,  -- about Ms. Cross equaled over $20 Million Dollars and her viewership from everyone who visited many of Tiffany's sites was affected by all of the moves. Ying and Yang.

Deleting Secrets - When Did The United States Secret Service Go Political

APACHE JUNCTION AZ (IFS) -- Everyone has been patiently waiting for this writer to say something, anything about the powers that be.  From that grand movie line by Dorthy from The Wizard Of Oz, " . . . Toto, We are not in Kansas Anymore."

As a young driver of a One Star General when I got my first assignment "straight outta basic".  This General's chief of staff, pulled me aside, and gave me these instructions, "Don't you get into any accidents at all with this officer, and if you do, I'm pulling you in jail first, Airman." Other than keeping his vehicle, polished and full of gas, this writer had to keep a log of the General's appointments and record the day and times, his vehicle left the US Government base, and the distance traveled on State roads.

As a member of the military with a security clearance, and if this writer had to destroy any classified document and/or classified equipment, the signatures of my first sergeant and squadron commander had to sign off first.

Motion Picture Association- Alternate titles: MPAA, MPPDA, Motion Picture Association of America

Motion Picture Association

Alternate titles: MPAA, MPPDA, Motion Picture Association of America
By The Editors of Encyclopaedia Britannica • Edit History
Date: 1922 - present

Areas Of Involvement: film censorship public relations distribution

Motion Picture Production Code
Related People: Chris Dodd Will H. Hays
Motion Picture Association (MPA), formerly (1922–45) Motion Picture

Producers and Distributors of America and (1945–2019) Motion Picture

Association of America, in the United States, organization of the

major motion-picture studios that rates movies for suitability to

various kinds of audiences, aids the studios in international

distribution, advises them on taxation, works to prevent film piracy,

and carries on a nationwide public relations program for the industry.

The MPA, originally called the Motion Picture Producers and

Distributors of America (MPPDA) and later the Motion Picture

Association of America (MPAA), was established in 1922 by the major

Hollywood production studios in response to increasing government

censorship of films, which arose in turn from a general public outcry

against both indecency on the screen and various scandals involving

movie celebrities. The MPPDA, popularly called the Hays Office for its

first director, Will H. Hays, codified the complaints of local

censoring boards and informed producers of their views. Hollywood in

effect opted to censor its own productions rather than allow the

government to censor them.

In 1930 the Hays Office adopted the Motion Picture Production Code, a

detailed description of what was morally acceptable on the screen.

Under the guidance of Jack Valenti—MPAA president (1966–2004) and

former adviser to U.S. Pres. Lyndon B. Johnson—the code was

liberalized in 1966 after it had become hopelessly outdated and

ineffective because of the more relaxed social and sexual mores of the

time. In 1968 the MPAA set up a rating board that classified films as

G, M, R, and X. After various changes the MPA ratings are now as

follows: G, for general audiences; PG, parental guidance suggested;

PG-13, parents strongly cautioned, because film contains material

inappropriate for children under 13; R, restricted to adults and to

children under 17 accompanied by parent or guardian; and NC-17, no

children under 17 admitted.

A studio system is a method of filmmaking wherein the production and

distribution of films is dominated by a small number of large movie

studios. It is most often used in reference to Hollywood motion

picture studios during the Golden Age of Hollywood from the 1920s to

1960s, wherein studios produced films primarily on their own

filmmaking lots with creative personnel under often long-term

contract, and dominated exhibition through vertical integration, i.e.,

the ownership or effective control of distributors and exhibition,

guaranteeing additional sales of films through manipulative booking

techniques such as block booking.

The studio system was challenged under the antitrust laws in a 1948

Supreme Court ruling which sought to separate production from the

distribution and exhibition and ended such practices, thereby

hastening the end of the studio system. By 1954, with television

competing for audience and the last of the operational links between a

major production studio and theater chain broken, the historic era of

the studio system was over.

The period stretching from the introduction of sound motion pictures

to the beginning of the demise of the studio system, 1927–1948, is

referred to by some film historians as the Golden Age of Hollywood.

The Golden Age is a purely technical distinction and not to be

confused with the style in film criticism known as Classical Hollywood

cinema, a style of American film which developed from 1917 to 1963 and

characterizes it to this day. During the so-called Golden Age, eight

companies constituted the major studios that promulgated the Hollywood

studio system. Of these eight, five were fully integrated

conglomerates, combining ownership of a production studio,

distribution division, and substantial theater chain, and contracting

with performers and filmmaking personnel:

Loews Incorporated (owner of America's largest theater chain and

parent company of Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer)
Paramount Pictures
Warner Brothers Pictures
20th Century-Fox (later renamed 20th Century Studios)
RKO Radio Pictures
Two majors—Universal Pictures and Columbia Pictures—were similarly

organized, though they never owned more than small theater circuits.
The eighth of the Golden Age majors, United Artists, owned a small

number of theaters and had access to two production facilities owned

by members of its controlling partnership group, but it functioned

primarily as a backer-distributor, financing independent productions

and releasing their films.

Russia rejects International Criminal Court's jurisdiction over probe in...

News that Vladimir Putin, Russia’s latter-day tsar, is making plans to cling to power indefinitely comes as no surprise. All the same, it is deeply worrying for Putin’s prey – principally the Russian people and the western democracies.

Putin, 67, has run Russia, as president and prime minister, for 21 years, a feat of political longevity surpassed only by Joseph Stalin. Like Stalin, he has made many enemies and caused untold misery along the way.

Russia under Putin’s grim tutelage has grown notorious for cronyism and corruption on a vast scale, repression of domestic opponents and free speech, and military aggression and disruption abroad.

APACHE JUNCTION AZ (IFS) -- The days of the dictators of the world is coming to a head.  Sadam Hussien received his greetings from US Seal Team Six as he was hiding out in a bunker under an old house in the deserts of Iraq.  Putin's spiraling end is coming fast, as he has the world governments after his head.  He is nothing without money and supplies to run his war.  He's a great leader, as his soldiers lie dead in the streets, with the young bodies of Russia's future are discarded as trash and not being recovered.  If you want to cheer up your soldiers, one must be able to give them "Something To Believe In", as the hit recording of the same name by RG Ingersoll rings in your ears.

It's going to be a long war, approximately ten years of this.  As being reported, over 17,000 volunteer soldiers from over 100 countries, with India leading the way, followed by Ukraine Americans with dual citizenships, and New Volunteers for the Ukraine Foreign Legion have arrived in the NATO surrounding countries so far, with more than 2,000 Soldiers of Fortune per day descending in Ukraine.  Their pay?  A chance to become citizens of Ukraine with property for their service.

As far as the Ukraine Citizen Soldiers are concerned, they know that Russia is going to win several battles, but Ukraine will win the war.  Citizens soldiers are their own independent commanders, and they will strike at will.  After the fall of Berlin, the sniper attacks were relentless for over four years.
